“I can’t stop staring at the glorious expanse of the star-filled sky. I follow the boardwalk under a canopy of trees lead to the lounge where I enjoy a cocktail outdoors. The mountains look glorious, and I feel extremely happy.”

Place yourself between an ocean, a lagoon and glistening mountains and you will arrive at Mosaic, one of South Africa’s beautiful hidden gems on the famous Whale Coast, just two hours of Cape Town. Mosaic is a boutique guest resort where luxury is laced with earthly beauty and heavenly night skies. Mosaic is the perfect location for those boho nature and activity lovers. It is one of my favourite places in South Africa, that is why I came back again this year!

I have stayed twice in one of the beautiful private chalets of the Lagoon Lodge. Lagoon Lodge captures the essence of tranquility with just five safari-style suites secluded among ancient milkwood trees on the edge of the Hermanus Lagoon. Stone and glass walls open onto private decks with gorgeous mountain views. The chalets of the Lagoon Lodge are beautifully built with stone and thatch harvested from Mosaic. All meals, drinks and activities are included in the rate.

The Mosaic SanctuaryOn the edge of the Hermanus Lagoon, Mosaic expands to a secluded part of the pristine Walker Bay Beach and Nature Reserve. Walker Bay, known for its “champagne air” is a destination to be savored. It is a meeting point of mountain and sea, uniquely laced with spectacular marine life, beautiful beaches, fynbos, birds, archeological caves and the continent’s southern most wineries. Come, and experience South Africa & the beauty of our private sanctuary.
