We’ve slept a few nights at Sudanita home stay – he started a home stay in Ababi, a beautiful authentic little village. By accident I stumbled upon this home stay in Bali and I really wanted to stay here. Ababi is located in the east of Bali and isn’t visited by tourists at all. You still can find this in Bali if you know where you should go!
Gede was born and raised in Bali and therefore familiar with the Balinese culture, nature and religion. He can tell you all about his country, about the many colorful ceremonies, about his family history, about the flora and fauna, Balinese habits, and much much more – in such a fascinating way!
His whole family is very hospitable, loving and sincere and I loved to immerse myself in Balinese life. The Balinese house itself is beautiful. It has a kitchen, living area, cosy rooms with outdoor showers, and a nice patio to sit outside. The garden is a really serene place full of flowers, fountains, a little temple and some other hidden corners – all surrounded by green jungle (sounds!).
Gede showed us around the area – we met his family and he took us to beautiful temples, unknown rice fields and beaches, to the Bali that I wanted to see. And each night they cooked for us – it was sooo yummy! I hope you will meet Gede too and stay with him for a while, it’s an unforgettable experience.
