Vintage café in Mechelen

‘As soon as I enter Bokes & Co in Mechelen, Belgium, I have the feeling that my grandma will come and greet me soon with my favourite cake and a cup of tea. This lovely café feels so warm and cosy!

Instead of my grandma, Vicky and Seppe are welcoming me with big smiles. They are siblings and when Vicky had the idea to open this café, Seppe was there to support her. Their mission is to let the guests unwind and catch a breath in their hectic daily lives.

Bokes & Co is built up from vintage and second hand furniture, books can be found to read and toys are available for the little ones. The place is filled with old school chairs, flower pots and other vintage things that make you feel warm and welcome. It is the plan to sell the furniture as well so the interior will be changing all the time. I kept looking at the beautiful old world maps on the wall and was thinking about my next destinations while enjoying my tea.

On their menu you will find sandwiches, kroks (Belgium toasties), soup and a lot of other great food. Bokes has it all.
