“This place feels like walking inside a fairytale. The white wooden houses are decorated with beautiful flowers which make the town like a colorful painting on a white canvas.”

The Old Town in Stavanger (Gamle Stavanger) is a historic area in Stavanger, Norway. It’s a tiny old town consisting white wooden houses build in the 18th century. Walking around the town feels like walking around an inhabited museum.

Although the old town in Stavanger is the largest surviving wooden house settlement in northern Europe, it’s quite small. You can walk around for about 15 minutes and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.

The old town is located near the docks, so when you’re finished walking around you can gaze at the ginormous cruise ships calling at the port.
