“During my trip in Norway I came across some pretty breathtaking views, but the view at Preikestolen gave me the ultimate feeling of freedom. Don’t let all the tourists scare you away, because it is definitely worth it.”

The Preikestolen is a massive cliff perching 604 meters above the Lysefjord, located near Stavanger. The hike is almost 4 kilometers long (up!) and takes about two hours, one way.

There are a lot of ways to get to the hiking trail and it is easily accessible. You can get there by public transport, ferry, tourbus or by car. Try to get there as early as possible in the morning to avoid crowds.

At the top of the Preikestolen it can be pretty crowded, so try to take a moment to enjoy the views you’ll get to see during your way up, because they will be just as breathtaking. Although this hike is a populair touristic attraction, you should definitely not skip it while visiting Norway.
