“The sand feels soft to my toes, I walk bare feet on a dune path alined with flapping bright coloured flags. In the distance I can hear some fine tunes, my best friends on both my sides are smiling bright; we’re back at our favourite Dutch Surfana festival!”

Every year in the midst of summer, Surfana Festival is held in the dunes at Camping de Lakens at Bloemendaal aan Zee. Surfana Festival is a true nature and surfers paradise. Immerse yourself in beautiful surroundings, the beach, happy faces, good music, excellent food and the interesting workshops.

The festival is built out of recycled materials and the organization pays a lot of attention to good affordable food. Every year there is a range of surprising, healthy, organic and delicious (vegan & vegetarian) food trucks.

The aim of the festival is to learn, do and experience. Attend one of the many watersport clinics like surfing, kite surfing or supping. Stretch your sour mussels at a yoga class or get to know more about grapes at one of the wine tastings. Learn about edible plants in the Dutch nature or relax for a bit in the sauna and jacuzzi.

But bare foot dancing to (international) bands is of course my favourite activity. Every night Surfana has a great line up of talented singer songwriters, DJ’s and bands. Go for a ticket with campsite and enjoy the good life a whole weekend long!
