“At the end of the Great Ocean Road in Australia lies the quiet fishing village of Port Fairy, where I stay at Drift House for two nights. I love the shadows play within our room, our beautiful home away from home that has everything we need. All little details come together in this room, it’s perfect.”

At Drift House they think luxury is not about brand names, star ratings or dollars – just like we do! It is an outcome of how we feel; a certain state of mind, an individual experience. We think it can be tactile, spiritual or emotional and sometimes all three, but is always influenced by our surroundings. And I can say at Drift House, I felt completely zen, bohemian and calm and the room inspired me a lot. Good work!

Drift House offers 4 very private and entirely self-contained suites each with an individual design. The use of innovative materials, salvaged timber and beautifully designed fixtures results in a modern, cutting edge and superbly comfortable environment. We stay on the ground floor and I fall in love with this room directly. The light, the interior choices, the details… It’s perfect. Perfect for a cosy winter escape with its open fire place and amazingly deep solid stone bath.

Drift House is a special place to stay. It does not represent 5 star opulence nor doily wrapped Victoriana. It is unique, individual and entirely bespoke! The combination of the architecture inside and outside creates a feeling best described as sexy, bohemian luxury. A vibe we love! They put a breakfast basket in your room that is superb, and another big plus: they go for sustainable tourism. By the time we’ve checked out we have made so many sustainability contributions without having to really think about it!

To some people Drift House is a boutique hotel, to others more of a B&B and some a retreat. We found it a home, but the label doesn’t really matter. Put simply it is a place to stay, relax, celebrate, unwind, love, laugh, drift and help you find your luxury. I loved it so much!
