“After arriving at the airport of Johannesburg, we will drive directly to Tshwene Lodge, a beautiful lodge in the Welgevonden Game Reserve. On arrival we jump into the safari 4×4 straight away to enjoy our ‘first’ game drive of this trip. Oh, it’s good to be back in Africa!”
After just a few minutes we are treated with spotting a lion, elephants, rhinos, buffalos and more beautiful wildlife. After this African pleasure safari we check in the lodge and it’s such a pretty and calm place! Tshwene Lodge is a secluded oasis in the rugged valley of the Taaibos River, it really lies in the middle of nowhere of Welgevonden Game Reserve.
Tshwene Lodge consists of just five luxury suites, which makes it perfectly intimate! It offers peace and tranquillity for those seeking to get away from it all. The five strategically positioned suites all offer privacy amongst a canopy of trees while affording intimate views of the valley below and the hills beyond. The room is perfect, a nice bed and a bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower and a large bath. From the veranda we see the sun set! And oh, no malaria stress!
The main facilities include a wellness spa, two lounges, pool, indoor and outdoor dining areas set on a huge wooden patio with magnificent views. All meals are prepared by our local chef for a deliciously authentic experience. The food tastes good and the safaris never get boring. A perfect start of your Limpopo adventure!
