As soon as we arrived, I was struck by the breathtaking beauty of the desert landscape of the Agafay desert. With the Atlas mountains as backdrop, it felt like an oasis! The golden sand dunes stretched out before me and I immediately felt a sense of peace and tranquility wash over. I knew that this was exactly where we were meant to be after taking in the buzzling chaos of Marrakech city! Our baby son Atlas really loved to be back in nature again. The desert looked good on him!
We stayed in one of their yurts, a truly unique way of staying in the desert. The interior was spot on, I really loved the details. Food in the restaurant was very tasty too, and we loved their little campfire set up at night. There is a beautiful pool in a dune as well, perfect for hot days!
Over the next few days, we explored the surrounding area, taking in the sights and sounds of the desert. We spotted camels in the dunes, watched the sunset over the horizon from their unique rooftop mountain spot, and sat under the stars at night, marveling at the vastness of the universe.
One of the inspiring parts of our stay at BE Agafay were the people we met there. The staff were kind and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed! And the other guests were from all over the world, each with their own unique stories and perspectives.
As we sat around the campfire with our new friends we realized that this was what life was all about – connecting with others, experiencing new things right in the desert of Morocco. A true hidden hgem, this place!
