The medina of Marrakech can be very overwhelming. People everywhere, new sounds, smells that you have never smelled before. Your senses will be overly stimulated. At the end of the day you need a peaceful place to let all these new experiences sink in.
The perfect place for this is in the beautiful Riad El Youssoufi. Via a very small door you enter a green courtyard where the city sounds can’t reach you. Most of the original elements are still there. Rooms are light and very cool.
Small stairways leed you to the rooms, but also to the roofterrace. The roofterrace is great for breakfast in the morning or enjoying a drink at the end of a long day sightseeing. From the roof you have an amazing view on Marrakech.
The breakfast is to die for. Fresh fruits, very small tajines for serving homemade jams, typical Moroccan small pancakes and of course mint-tea.
