Chintamani Alcehmistry is a traveling creative artisan project based in Bali and Goa. They design conscious pure raw cotton & linen clothes and footwear, handmade in little family workshops based in India and Indonesia. Both of these places are known for their amazing traditional clothes and handwoven natural fabric, deep religious culture and very inspiring beautiful wild nature. I can literally feel this when wearing a piece.
Chintamani creates handmade garments from mainly organic and natural materials for women, men and even kids. Created in limited editions, all their wearable artifacts are vegetarian, natural, high quality and original. Some of them are decorated with hand printed or embroidered shamanic symbols, made in capsule collections of very limited editions.
All of their designs are inspired by indigenous cultures, national clothing and ethnic ceremonial decorative traditions. A beautiful tribute combined with an elegant urban vibe. They love to combine freedom of creativity and fantastic visions of Asia with active, progressive and practical attitude of modern cities. Cooperation of this two polar styles of living brings to reality their Chintamani pieces of Art. My all time favourite is the raw cotton wrap top and their beautiful kimono’s.
As for their production process, they are trying to be as ethic and sustainable as possible, which I love. Their clothing does not only look natural and beautiful, it is made in the most natural and beautiful way too! Chintamani goes all the way back to 2009. From 2017 Chintamani Alchemistry is a registered Trademark and now they are wholesaling to shops in more than 10 countries. They have a few own shops as well and a webshop (worldwide shipping!) and you can also order on Etsy!
