“Lounge seats, psychedelic paintings and thousands of colourful lights in a cosy courtyard at the far end of the buzzy streets of Thamel, the centre of the tourist industry in Kathmandu. That is Electric Pagoda!”

Tasty food, ambience music and a relaxt crowd make the recipe complete. Electric Pagoda is my favourite hang out during my visits to Kathmandu. I stumbled upon it after wandering around Thamel for a while. In comparison to many other noisy and crowded places in this area, Electric Pagoda turned out to be a perfect hidden gem. A place to mingle a little with locals and hear all about their live in the capital of Nepal.

Cocktails are fine, the beers nicely chilled, and de laid back atmosphere and laughter in the little garden a delight for your senses.
