“Serendipity is an art café in the historic city of Galle in Sri Lanka and a great place to have lunch when exploring the beautiful old city center. While waiting for dinner, there’s plenty of artworks to admire!”

Galle is unlike the rest of Sri Lanka, with a kind of Mediterranean vibe to it. There’s lots of small stores and cafes, of which I like Serendipity most. The owner is really friendly, the interior is filled with artworks and I love that there’s a giant whale on the wall (whale watching in Sri Lanka is highly recommended!)

They keep a guest book and are ‘collecting’ nationalities, of which they are really proud! The food is inexpensive and tasty, so stopping by for lunch or dinner is a great tip when visiting Galle.
