“We had an amazing day going wild water rafting in Costa Rica, one to remember! The crew has a real passion for their job, and that was seen in every part of this journey.”

Full of excitement we were waiting for the transport to the Arenal volcano river to go white water rafting in Costa Rica. They picked us up around 9 am and the trip took 1.5 hour. In the bus they told a lot of the history of the various places we passed. After staring at these beautiful places we arrived at the lake. We were with a nice group of people – 10 persons and 3 crew members, a perfect fit!

At the lake the crew members told us a lot about the basic technics we needed to know for the rafting. They told us very serious the do and don’ts with a lot of humor, we had so much fun. The crewm embers were so funny!

Time for us to put on the swimming suit and grab a paddle! We were so excited to go into the water. There were 2 boats. One boat had an English guide and the other one a Spanish guide. Off course we took the boat with the English guide, because our Spanish was not that well… And we wanted to survive!

The first trip with the boat took about 1.5 hour. The river was rough, but in the mean time you definitely could enjoy the beautiful environment. There is a change to see monkeys, sloth and other animals and we did see them, even the sloth! It was so beautiful. After this amazing trip, there was a fruit break and a possibility to shoot some pictures.

After the fruit break we were getting into our boats again for our second trip. The river was more peaceful than the first trip, it was so beautiful and amazing to be here – and HOT! The crew gave us a change to swim, which was so refreshing!

After the second trip we deserved a cold beer with the whole crew. Everybody was tired and satisfied. The boats and the rafting gear were loaded back into the bus. After a half an hour drive there was a delicious lunch. The crew took pictures of everybody all day and at the lunch you had the opportunity to buy them.
