Hotel O Kathedral
“Since I was a little girl I wandered through Antwerp and looked at this city as almost one of my homes away from home.”
I always kept in mind it never takes long before I come back to this city of boho chic and chic-chic. It is a melting pot of arty and fashionable people who love to go out and wander in life. This city has become a part of my heart and always keeps on surprising.
One of the places I love to go to is Hotel O Kathedral. If you could pin a spot in the middle of Antwerp it is this hotel at the Grand Place with a beyond beautiful view of the Antwerp cathedral. I always ask if I can get a room at the top floor of the hotel. Here, you have the best view of the square and the cathedral. In the evening I always sit in the window to watch the cathedral and the twinkle twinkle little stars… Pure magic.
The rooms of the hotel are small pieces of joy as the hotel rooms are designed carefully. A wallpaper with artwork of one of the famous Belgian painters, Peter Paul Rubens, is the ‘piece de resistance’ in the room as it covers the entire wall and ceiling. In the windowsill you can sit and nip your wine while watching the city… Hello Antwerp!
