“When I lived in Brussels I had to search for a spot to relax and enjoy my drinks. Les Gens Que J’aime became the one!”
I do not want to withhold this perfect spot. Every Sunday I was sitting in ‘my’ sofa enjoying my crémant. I cannot count the times I have visited this place. It is truly my favorite spot to sit down and relax in Brussels.
You can watch the people strolling by through the huge window as Les Gens Que J’aime is situated just behind the Grand Place. A fun mix of tourists and inhabitants is what you see and I am always wondering where they are off to.
Les Gens Que J’aime is small and you feel right at home in an instant. Sometimes you will get confused – are you in Brussels or Paris – as the interior is a mix of Belle Époque and vintage resulting in comfortable pastel couches next to the bar. The food is good although quite simple, be sure to try the quiches and the traditional steak tartare. They are very jummy jummy.
Just a small note, the menus are so cute and worth framing. Like I did.
