Vossenmarkt in the Marollen
“If I had to pick my favorite flea market in the world, it will definitely be the Vossenmarkt in Brussels.”
When I lived in Brussels, no Sunday at this market was skipped. I think that all my friends and family have visited this market as it was my ultimate favorite market of Brussels.
Even now, the Vossenmarkt remembers me of the awesome time I had living in Brussels. You can find loads of interior treasures at this market. Think of small French side tables, vases and other curiosa. The real sport is the negotiation between me as a buyer and all those sellers. It is almost an Olympic sport and I have noticed that I am very good in it. YAY!
If you are in Brussels, take a deep breath and go for it! Stroll down all those market stands and you will be surprised what is sold. Between a stack of old shoes you maybe find your perfect fit. If that is not your cup of tea, then maybe choose a vintage clock to put up on the wall. You will find both weird things as well the most beautiful things. Be early as the magpies are also the early birdies!
Tip: If you have seen everything on the flea market, go back to the city center through the Blaesstraat or Hoogstraat. Here you will find many more beautiful shops.
