“You’ll find Moeder de Gans just across the Dutch border in Belgium, but it feels like a whole other world. It is so beautiful and peaceful. It’s easy to forget I’m actually pretty close to home.”

Just across the Dutch border you’ll find a cute small village called Teuven. It is not much more than two streets, a church, a hotel and a few cafés. One of those cafés is ‘Moeder de Gans’ – a picturesque inn surrounded by the Belgian hills.

Beautiful fluffy chickens welcome you when entering this place. They roam freely on their terrace and they are the cutest! Moeder de Gans serves the best food of high quality and they try to use as much local products as possible.

It’s a place where a lot of cyclists take a break to enjoy some good food and the beautiful view. They have a lot of different kind of beers and they even have a little secondhand shop, where you can buy vintage beer glasses. In summer season they offer a lot of arrangements like beer or wine tasting or they organise trips to nearby businesses like a wagon ride at a farm, workshops at a bakery, a visit to a snail or trout farm and much, much more.
