Les Reprilles is a hundred year old farmhouse on the edge of the hamlet of Las, 3 km from the village of Chiddes. The farm is located at the forest and in the middle of the meadows, where the famous white ‘Charolais’ cows graze.
For centuries, French families have farmed at Les Reprilles. Now this magical place has been given a new destination; a comfortable vacation spot with preservation of and respect for the atmosphere. It’s truly a hidden gem in Burgundy: the unique and small-scale “boutique-like” experience that many people are looking for. Domaine Les Reprilles consists of two large buildings: the original house with adjacent the bakery and a stable, and a large barn, the former ‘grange’. Under architecture these have been converted into 5 comfortable apartments: in the first building you will find the gîtes La Maison, Le Four, L’Étable and La Vue. In the large barn you will find the gîtes L’Écurie and La Grange.
The (4-star!) gîtes are nice and spacious. The Dutch owners love comfort and find it important that their guests can enjoy it too. You will therefore be immersed in a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere as soon as you walk in. All gîtes have a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator, oven and microwave. Of course there is also a coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Furthermore there are HD flat screen TVs in all the cottages with reception of the Dutch channels, a DVD player and a hi-fi set. Wifi is freely accessible everywhere. The bathrooms have spacious showers with thermostatic taps. The gîtes are well insulated and are heated by a cozy wood stove (except La Grange) and electric radiators: so they can be booked throughout the year! The bedrooms have very comfortable beds with high quality mattresses, all made up upon arrival. French doors give access to a spacious private terrace and a fantastic view of the surroundings. On the grounds is a securely fenced heated swimming pool with hot outdoor shower and sun terrace with sun beds. There’s also a playground and a hot tub on site.
Do you love yoga? During high season Annemarie gives yoga classes for all levels, as well as a weekly parent-child yoga class. Don’t want to move at all? That’s fine too: finally read that book at their solar heated pool. Our fav: there is a hot tub too and as you know we’re suckers for those romantic tiny hot baths! And… Twice a week they cook for you! They serve the finest authentic Burgundian dishes during the Table d’Hote. In July and August they also offer a daily bread service for a relaxed petit dejeuner. In the evening, you can gather wood with the kids for the campfire, and drink a cool glass of Chablis by the fireplace. Tip: they also organize retreats! Do you need a healthy reset? Fancy a walk? Directly from the Domaine, there are beautiful hiking trails through forests and along lakes! Domaine Les Reprilles is situated at the end of a dead-end road that turns into a cart track. The only thing you hear is an occasional tractor. Furthermore, only nature sounds. From our Domaine you can see the famous white Charolais cows with their calves. From your cottage you can walk into the Morvan with its huge forests, streams, lakes and even a waterfall. Deer, buzzards, foxes, hares, squirrels and many species of birds are your immediate neighbors here. Don’t forget to look up at night: the starry sky is breathtakingly beautiful. For adventurous kids and parents there is plenty to do: rafting, climbing, cycling, swimming or water sports at one of the great lakes in the Morvan. And who knows, maybe we will organize an exciting nature quest now and then. How valuable it is to give our kids freedom, adventure and knowledge of nature! At 8 km is the beautiful town of Luzy with nice markets, stores and restaurants.
