“The gîte (French for guest stay) of Le Petit Poisson Vert seems to be a normal house, but the real magic is in the story behind it. Arnoud and Stephanie told me where every single piece of recycled wood came from, how they used only wood and straw to build the gîte and how they stayed away from paint and any other chemicals. The love that’s put into building it can be felt when staying here.”

Le Petit Poisson Vert is set up by a Dutch couple with two kids, and can be found in the South of Brittany. Arnoud and Stephanie will share with you all the great places to see and things to do and once a week, serve a great homemade organic dinner (most comes from their vegetable garden) that they call table d’hôte. If you have any questions about natural living, farming or the area of Brittany, feel free to ask. They are very friendly, sincere and hard-working people to be around and you won’t regret staying with them. Next to the four-person gîte, you can also stay in their budget-friendly renovated caravan or their Joker van.

Maybe you wouldn’t say, but (the South of) Brittany is a great place for surfing and where the sun is often shining. The cliffs of the Côte Sauvage are truly magical and due to the small micro climate can be enjoyed in spring, summer and autumn. The towns and markets around, for example in Port Louis, are fun to explore as well!
