“During this hot, sunny day I long for a place of peace, to escape the busy city. Walking around the Botanical Gardens of Berlin and strolling through the greenhouses, I finally found some peace of mind.”

Berlin’s Botanical Gardens is one of the biggest in the world. It has sixteen greenhouses and the entire garden is about 50 hectares big, so you can easily spend one or more afternoons here. Of course the garden itself is worth a calm stroll, walk from the Asian gardens all the way to America or stay a while in Europe. But it are actually the greenhouses that will really blow you away.

With sixteen greenhouses to choose from you’ll see the most amazing cacti and succulents. But the greenhouses also host tropical crops, orchids and rainforest plants you’ve never seen before.
