I’m at Black Sheep in Berlin and mesmerized by the taste of Kombucha, I’ve never tried it before but I’m sure this won’t be the last time!

BKS, Berlin Kombucha Society, is beginning to be a common name in the vegan world in Berlin. The drink is a combination of tea and soft drink, made by fermentation. I won’t be able to explain the whole process, the scoby and it’s health benefits – but if you’re interested make sure to read around because it’s damn interesting!

Back to BKS. The girls have been frequent stall-owners on different markets and you can see the bottles pop up all around the city in small bars and cafés. Because of the success of their Kombucha they opened up their own shop a year ago: Black Sheep.

In Black Sheep they serve not only homemade Kombucha, but also different sweets and baked goods, all vegan. The girls have created such an open and relaxed atmosphere that you can’t do anything else besides coming back once in a while to have a small chat with them while enjoying a fresh Kombucha.
