Commonground
I had my doubts when I saw the entrance of Commonground in Berlin but from the moment I walked in, I fell in love. This is where I’m gonna spend my Sundays!
You need to know one thing: Berlin-Mitte is not my favourite part of town. It’s filled with touristic attractions and thus it can be quite hard to find a cute café or a new bar that isn’t packed with tourists. But Commonground is one of the cafés that’s fresh and new. Being located under a busy hostel, you won’t get away from the tourists but here that doesn’t really matter.
Commonground is decorated with such an eye for detail and they have plants everywhere! When it’s a nice and sunny day you can enjoy the beams of sun in their cute courtyard, a unicum in this part of town. Cheers with a homemade bloody mary and have the most surprising lunch. A combination of mediterranean and modern dishes make it hard to decide what to get. So you’ll probably be back, just as I am quite often.
