“I wake up and look outside. The vineyard is shining bright under the rising sun, the bottles on our table outside look empty and I think to myself… What a special place to sleep, what a time to be alive!’

In the middle of the vineyard with a panoramic view over the walnut garden towards the baroque town of Ettenheim, the Rhine plain and into the Black Forest lies Weber Weingut, a beautiful family business producing wine. They are one of the most modern wineries in Baden. If you’re not sleeping over, you can still enjoy a tasting or book a table in the restaurant. They organize wine events too, make sure to check out their agenda. We absolutely loved the place, so don’t forget to make a stop here when in the Black Forest!

They offer a sleepover in a WoodenTent (from May towards the end of November) and it is a truly amazing experience to sleep in the middle of nature, come to rest and spend the night with as little as possible.

The cozy, tent-shaped interior is characterized by warm wooden surfaces, modern furniture and an extraordinary panorama window, which gives you a fantastic view over their walnut garden and the city of Ettenheim. The WoodenTent is equipped with a comfortable sofa bed, which can be converted into a cozy bed in a few simple steps. On warmer nights you can sit comfortably at the terrace to the WoodenTent. There is a toilet and sink, yet no shower!

The welcome bottle of W-Secco® is the perfect start of your overnight experience in the WoodenTent . We enjoyed a tour at the winery and a delicious dinner in our restaurant. It was a warm night, so we sat outside on their terrace and the view is amazing! We could even see the mountains of the Vogezen in France. After a restful night, there are a few nice places for breakfast in Ettenheim. We opted for a lovely breakfast at the Cafe Cozy in Ettenheim, very recommendable!
