Villa Arnica
“I’m at Villa Arnica; entangled in Italian vineyards, in the centre of the charming mountain village of Lana, surrounded by mountains. I come in and come closer. To the villa, the garden, the pool. What a place to unwind.”
Perched between the Dolomite mountains lies Villa Arnica, a beautiful boutique hotel that truly touched me. It was the perfect place to end our little babymoon. It’s an adults only private retreat, wrapped around with vineyards and set in a picturesque garden right in the center of this lovely town Lana. Villa Arnica offers four rooms and six suites, all decorated in a beautiful and luxurious way, and a lovely pool with poolhouse. There are always (free) activities to join such as yoga in the garden. Best thing? They accept dogs, which I find uncommon for a luxury retreat. Perfect, we could bring our furry friend Sok with us!
The view here is unbeatable. You have a view over their garden and park, vineyards and surrounding hills and mountains. Here speaks the present and rests in restraint. Villa Arnica transports you in a zen era as your own thoughts and senses become evermore present. You know what they say: when the mind rests, the sesnses unfold. Wether perched by the pool on a terrace of antique tiles, draped in a lounge chair along the pool or watching all the edible seedings grow in their garden, one thing is certain: this is the perfect place to mastering the art of doing nothing.
You don’t need to go out for food nor drinks as they offer perfect dished from the garden to the table, vegetables and fruits, herbs and flowers, prepared by skillful hands. A little bit of everything. Quintessence fresh. Every morning we had a picture perfect breakfast in the poolhouse, and we enjoyed dinner in their neighboring sister hotel Hotel Schwarzschmiedt, that offers a very good restaurant. We chose to have it next to their vineyard and it was so idyllic!
