Simbiosi Organic Cafè
“Just a few streets away from the most crowded parts of Florence lies SimBIOsi, a specialty coffee place with some real special coffee. Special enough to make this barista a happy bean (sorry for all the puns)!”
Don’t get me wrong – SimBIOsi still is a very popular place. But for a good reason – their coffee is perfectly blended and the barista’s know how to work with it. A plus side? They make some mean oat milk flat whites. They have some vegan products as well and a little menu card with the things you’ll find in a lot of cafe’s nowadays: avocado toast, pancakes and the like.
In this cafe you’ll find yourself mixed in with the locals and the tourists, all waiting for a nice cup of joe. It can be crowded, but don’t worry, it will be worth it. To me it also felt different than all the other overcrowded places in Florence. In this case the crowds weren’t there for some very old statues but for coffee! Very reasonable if you ask me.
The ambiance is very good and a bit different than the standard coffee shops you’ll find around Florence. I found myself wanting to come back after visiting the overloaded touristic areas, to just have a coffee and read a book, tucked into one of the corners of the cosy coffee house. And so I did! I found it the perfect place to unwind after a day in bustling Florence.
