“The University of Warsaw Library Garden is definitely the most beautiful place I saw during my Warsaw trip. I think it’s a wonderful idea to use the roof as a garden. The garden serves as a peaceful urban oasis in the middle of the city.”

The Library garden of Warsaw University is a very unique garden, located in a special place. The gardens literally surround the library building, because a big part of the garden is on top of the the roof. The library’s architecture is very spectacular, and in combination with the garden it becomes something magical.

The garden is one of Europe’s biggest rooftop gardens and it consists of two parts: the upper area is 2,000 m2 and the lower area is 15,000 m2. It’s a place where not only students find their peace (I can totally imagine studying here), but a lot of other locals come to relax aswel.
