“The Portugese winter sun feels bright and warm on our skin, a nice contrast with the crispy morning air. The friendly atmosphere, the comfy beds and the amazing view over the hills at Vida Pura in Portugal will have you wake up with a big smile on your face..”

Vida Pura is a project run by two Dutch friends and their families. I would describe this place as eco-minded, innovative, relaxing and creative. When you stay here, you can’t help but notice that every small detail is made with so much love and devotion. Since the apartment we stayed at had a floor of corks, cheese graters as lamps, a table made of old LP records, it’s no wonder our apartment was called recycle art.

Still, the apartments have luxury feel to it. When you stay here, you will be treated like a king (or a queen). The delicious breakfast that can be customized to your personal wishes, a morning yoga class is included and Robin, one of the founders, will openheartedly tell you everything you want to know about the project. With all this passion, you can’t help but feel welcome here.

At Vida Pura, they do different types of natural building, biodynamic gardening (you just have to try the homemade blackberry cardamon jam!), rainwater collecting, a natural filter for waste water, solar power and much more!

Altogether: a luxury, eco-friendly hideout with a cosy atmosphere and great vibe. I’ve talked to many visitors and we agreed to one thing: when at Vida Pura, you don’t want to go home!

Vida Pura can be found on the border of the Algarve and Alentejo. Thus it combines the beautiful nature and quietness of Alentejo with the vibrancy of the Algarve. It’s located only ten minutes from different amazingly beautiful beaches and surf spots, which makes Vida Pura the perfect holiday destination for every ocean lover.
