‘Large, old, industrial buildings with tired brick walls, framed glass windows and steel doors. A young crowd with an artsy, bohemian air is walking the streets. Funky music is playing.  This is not just another part of Lisbon. LX Factory is a whole different world.’

LX factory has become one of my favorite spots in Lisbon! Just a 15 minute drive from the historic city center you’ll find this hidden world of creativity. A former industrial factory reopened as a dynamic area with concept stores, creative startups, numerous restaurants, vintage coffee cafes, organic take-aways, craft shops, and art studios.

It reminded me a lot of the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam and I could easily spend a full day strolling around. Although it is probably hard to believe but I found every store, venture or eatery uniquely different and exciting!

Every Sunday there is an open air market with handmade products and vintage clothes. Also, be sure to check the agenda on their website for concerts, parties and other events!
