Craving some absolute rest, nature and escape from everyday life? I found the perfect spot for it: Glass Igloo Trones Eye in Norway! The only thing you will hear is the sound of water striking the pebbles and rocks and birds singing. I promise you, you’ve never slept this good and deep before.

Trones Eye is one of the prettiest places I have ever slept! Staying in this igloo whilst the trees showed us deep yellow and oranges leaves: it felt like a fairytale. Here, I’ve spent the night glamping at the fjord in a glass igloo on the water’s edge in Trøndelag. The glass igloo is furnished with luxury beds, heating and everything you need for a comfortable night in the midst of nature and history. Besides the comfy bed there are plates, cutlery, water, an external charger, a table and chairs which you can use both inside and outside. Warm blankets and fluffy pillows: check! You are only allowed to use the gas heater when you are awake, so you surely do need some blankets to stay warm during the night. Cuddle up! The candles that our host placed basically everywhere in the igloo also provide you with some warmth and make the room extremely cozy.

Outside, you will find a small tent with a so called toilet (don’t think of an actual toilet) that will help you to get through the night. The morning after, you can shower at the local golf club that is situated a 15-minute walk or a short walk and a 2 minute car drive away. Adventure awaits!

For dinner I would recommend to use the barbecue and just stay at the igloo! The place is way to beautfiul to go out for dinner. When we stayed in Trones Eye it was raining cats and dogs, but we have lovely memories of our barbecue evening!
