“Find your peace in the middle of the busy city life of Barcelona at Yoga Weeks Barcelona.”

The lovely ladies running this place introduced me to their retreat. Since I was visiting in low season there weren’t any retreats going on, but that gave me the time to have a chat about everything that is happening during the rest of the year.

The retreats that Yoga Weeks offers are a combination of yoga, wellbeing and culture in Barcelona. The basic program starts with a daily yoga session in the morning followed by a vegetarian brunch. In the afternoon there is time for exploring the city of Barcelona. After a busy afternoon in the city, it’s time to find your peace again with a sunset rooftop yoga class. In your free time, you can also book additional activities and treatments like private yoga lessons, healing sessions, hiking tours or a Spanish cooking masterclass.

The retreats are mostly held from Sunday to Friday, so you can enjoy your free time during the weekend. Yoga Weeks is located right in the centre of Barcelona next to Las Ramblas and not far away from the beach, set in a beautiful modernistic house with colorful flooring, high ceilings and long and airy corridors. The rooms are very spacious and designed in collaboration with a young design studio from Barcelona. I especially loved the gallery room, it is so beautifully decorated! In the area around the centre there are lot of small and cozy streets filled with nice coffeeshops and boutiques.

The thing I love most about this Yoga retreat is that isn’t about practicing yoga 24/7. It’s also about meeting new people, enjoying good food and the best part: exploring the great city life of Barcelona. I definitely want to return here one day during summer to meet the rest of the team and to see this place in full bloom!
