Magical dome of Camping Bij Ons

Do you know that feeling that you never want to leave when you’re at a wonderful place to sleep? Normally I only have that in certain countries, but now I also experienced it at an accommodation in The Netherlands, the place where I live. The dome of Camping Bij Ons in Groesbeek, near Nijmegen, is more than I ever dared to dream of. The design, the place, the campsite, the interior and the view … I think this is the definition of ‘perfect’ for me.
Last spring I stayed a night in this atmospheric place. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly owner Rita and we immediately felt at home. The reception was really cozy: beautiful old rugs, vintage chairs, a fireplace and a lot of wood. We got a cup of coffee and chatted with Rita about this special place.
Sleeping in the Dome was just as perfect as the rest of the campsite. A large dome with a transparent roof which you can cover with cloths. In the dome there is room for four people: there is a double bunk bed, there is a kitchenette, you can chill on the chesterfield couch and in the evening you can light up the wood stove. The theme of the Dome is Scandinavian with a vintage touch. In short: everything you need for a perfect boho night.
There is also plenty to do at the campsite: join the pizza evening or sit by the campfire and meet other happy campers. Take a walk around, because there are many more special accommodations. How about sleeping in a tipitent or waking up in a hunting lodge? Of course you can also bring your own tent or your caravan. I’m sure I’ll come back here once (or twice..) with our caravan, because I definitely want to experience this homy feeling in nature again.
