“I have to admit that someone already stole my heart. But the second place will go to this shop. The Preservation Society in Dunedin, New Zealand, is a room full of magical and sparkling dresses, hats, jewelry, shoes and more to discover.”

The first time we visited this shop I said to my boyfriend: ‘I’ll just take a quick peek in this shop because it looks so nice. He’d wish I’d never said that because I was truly lost between all the dresses, vintage jackets and shoes.

I felt like a kid in a candy store. I just wanted to have everything. Yes, everything! The store is a collection of things that the owner has carefully collected over the years. And I have to say, she truly did a great job. I never came across a vintage shop with such quality and diversity. The shop looks like a room full of treasures. You can just tell that this shop has received a lot of love.

I’ve bought a really nice poncho, some shoes and a bracelet. A nice touch is that some of the clothing has a tag attached to explain its history. The poncho that I have purchased for example was made by New Zealand Maori people. This poncho is definitely a keeper for me. Even my boyfriend bought a really nice woven tie. So both of us were very happy when leaving!
