If you’re looking for a cozy and peaceful retreat in the Canadian Rockies, look no further than Baker Creek by Basecamp. It was my favorite place that we stayed at in Banff National Park, a dream spot! Tucked away in the heart of Banff National Park, this charming place offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern amenities that will make your stay unforgettable.
From the moment you arrive at Baker Creek, you’ll be surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Banff National Park. The resort sits on the banks of the Bow River, with towering mountains and dense forests all around. Bow Valley Road is one of the most beautiful drives to take and Lake Louise is just around the corner.
I love the fact that there was a sign put outside that there has been spotted a bear (bear caution!) and I thought it was just for fun but it was actually the case, a grizzly was roaming around. It was the end of winter when we stayed here, so there was still a lot of snow which made the place even more cabin-porn perfect. Whether you’re a cabin lover like myself or simply seeking a quiet place to relax, you’ll find plenty to love about this serene location. What I loved most were the red chair lounge spots right in front of the river (hello mountain views!) with fire pits and blankets to have a lovely evening under the stars.
Accommodations at Baker Creek are both comfortable and stylish. Baker Creek offers a range of cabins and suites to suit every taste and budget. Each unit is tastefully decorated with natural wood finishes, cozy furnishings, and all the modern amenities you need for a comfortable stay. I was in love with all the details: the bear shaped bed detail, the lights, the cushions, everything blended in so well. Cozy at its best.
There is a good little shop and the loveliest staff that we have met in ages, they even gifted our little one a moose cuddling toy because he loves them so much! There is a bistro on site as well, unfortunately it was closed during our time of visit.
A must stay!
