“Garage Project is a small taproom in the suburb Aro Valley of Wellington in New Zealand and I love it! This is where boho meets hipster and where hipster meets the Wellingtonian of all ages.”

Garage Project was started by Pete Gillespie & Jos Ruffell with help from Pete’s brother Ian. They started very tiny but soon became very popular and are well known in Wellington and across New Zealand.

Garage Project takes risks when it comes to beer and they always dare to try something weird or new. With the beers also comes great artwork for every beer that they invent. At Aro Street you will find the brewery (with cool merchandise) and across the street the taproom: a cosy cafe where you can try all their beers. At the taproom it is always crowded and full of interesting people to meet. My favourite beer was an ale with a head of creamy vanilla. Sounds crazy, tasted lovely. Go explore!
