The Casart Game Lodge is connected to the Kruger National Park without fences. All the wildlife of the Kruger Park is free to wander onto the Casart Game Lodge land. One day, late afternoon, an elephant walked by and came for a drink at the water hole while I was watching it from the viewing deck with my own drink in my hand. I have never felt so close to an elephant. Sitting there without protection of a car or fences while I was watching this majestic animal doing his daily business.
